Covid-19 has impacted on most European projects and collaborations. The lock down situation has resulted in people staying at home and not being able to carry out their usual work. Despite this, the Life Ecosens Aquamonitrix consortium have been working hard to maintain project momentum to ensure that we do not have to incur any significant delays.
As a result, due to limitations in access at some of our European sites, we have sourced alternative demonstration sites; we have one domestic site and one farm site in Ireland, belonging to our employees, where we can gain access while complying with all Covid-19 regulations.
Last week, we deployed the Life Ecosens Aquamonitrix nitrate/nitrite sensor in a domestic site in County Wexford and we will deploy another device in County Waterford in the next couple of weeks. These two devices will transmit results to our IoT platform, allowing us to view the results remotely.
