The Life Ecosens Aquamonitrix Project hosted a half day Spanish conference on February 2: Conference on Monitoring, analysis and intelligent management of water. The Spanish partners within the consortium, UCAM and LKS KREAN (with the support of ISEA) organised the online event which had a large attendance of researchers, local authorities and companies from all over Spain.
The objective was to broaden the focus beyond our project, inviting other researchers to present their respective work to an audience with a particular interest in intelligent water monitoring. With this approach, we enabled a broader vision of the leading initiatives in the field of water monitoring and management. Likewise, the conference served to establish relationships between researchers, and organizations of the sector, creating knowledge networks that can contribute to the promotion of research on this critical issue of water management.
We were pleased to have complementary profiles of speakers, covering applied research, device manufacturers, solution integrator engineering, and finally public administrations, as end customers of these technologies. The variety of different viewpoints in the conference enriched the overall understanding of the problems in this sector.
